Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety
Our department strives to ensure a safe environment for faculty, staff, students and guests by:
- Assisting with coordinating compliance with all federal, state and local environmental laws.
- Reducing or eliminating accidents, injuries or serious harm through the identification and reduction of hazards and provision of appropriate safety training.
- Protecting the environment through the enforcement of existing rules and regulations and the promotion of procedures for the proper use and disposal of hazardous materials.

Use-of-drones process defined
To ensure University compliance with FAA regulations, a drone use approval process has been developed. An application must be completed for all University-owned drones and for drones contracted through a third party for University business.
